Abstract
In recent years, corruption has attracted increasing attention and been studied by a number of researchers. Nevertheless, the influence of corruption upon the growth of the economies has still been in arguments among economists. This thesis investigates and estimates the relationships between corruption and economic growth. With the purpose of accomplishing those targets, the thesis employs the Fixed Effect Models technique to establish the results using public data derived from World Bank and Transparency International. The thesis focus on countries in high income group in period from 2012 to 2017 due to the availability of the data. However, the thesis does not find a statistic significant between the Corruption Perceptions Index (a measure of corruption) and the GDP per capita growth for high income economies in period 2012 – 2017.
