Determinants of remittance behavior. The case of Vietnam

Abstract

This study concentrates on the determinants which influence the remittance behavior in the context of Vietnam under the remittances model estimation. By using datasets of the 2015 National Internal Migration Survey, we basically investigate the remittance model throughout the Heckman two-step estimation. This provides a better understanding of the remittance motivations that was left behind and effect across the background factors by explanatory variables.
