Determinants of farmers’ behavior in Ho Chi Minh and Da Lat on adopting high-flower-planting technology

Abstract:

Flower is one of the most important crops to bring farmers with high economic value in many countries such as Netherlands, Malaysia, etc. For Vietnam, with favorable condition, this country can follow high quality flowering oriented to develop it economy as well as famers’ living standard. Technical application is well-known as effectively way to improve both quality and quantity of product. This research therefore, was carried out in 2018 to investigate multi –indicators’ impact on the high technology adoption decision of famers in 2 main areas: Ho Chi Minh and Da Lat using survey approach. Logistic and Multinomial regression were used to figure out that gender, age, education, household’s income, and water quality evaluation have some noticeable impact. However, the factor to be emphasizes the most is technology specific attributes perception which indicate positive significance in nearly all the cases.
